Housing Services

COMPASS is a Home Office ("HO") acronym which stands for 'Commercial and Operational Managers Procuring Asylum Support Services'. Under the COMPASS contract, Serco delivers accommodation and transport services to asylum applicants (Service Users or SU's)in the North West of England (the ten boroughs of Greater Manchester, Liverpool and Blackburn with Darwen) and Scotland/Northern Ireland (Glasgow and Belfast).

The scope of the COMPASS contract is to: deliver Initial Accommodation to SU's allocated to the region; provide dispersed accommodation within the wider community: provide transport into and within regions and administer financial support on behalf of the Home Office. The COMPASS contract is for a term of 5 years with a possible 2 year extension.
