- Annie, Undergraduate Engineering Intern ASPAC
Annie, Undergraduate Engineering Intern
Undergraduate Engineering Intern studying a Bachelor of Engineering at UNSW
Why did you choose to join Serco as an undergraduate?
I chose Serco because I saw it as an opportunity to develop my technical and theoretical engineering skills in the field. Serco piqued my interest as it delved in within the marine engineering sphere and Defence.
What’s the focus of your role? What’s your purpose, what motivates you?
I predominately work with the National Support Office (NSO) for Serco Defence and my role mainly focuses on Asset and Maintenance Management. Being in the nexus between the Regional Support Groups and our client, we often encounter challenging problems and together as a team implement strategies to continuously improve our processes.
In what ways do you consider your work to be meaningful and making a difference?
As an intern, the work I contribute to the NSO team is often distributed nationally to our Support Groups as part of our mission for continuous improvement.
Why would you commend Serco to other graduates?
Serco is a great workplace for those looking for a different challenge every day!
