Serco held its annual Pulse Awards ceremony in its traditional manner, as a gala dinner at the W Hotel in Palm Jumeirah, Dubai on 21st March 2022. The awards night honoured and celebrated the achievements of 14 exceptional Middle East-based employees and teams who exceeded the expectations of their roles and showcased Serco’s core values of Trust, Care, Pride and Innovation.

TRUST
A Trust award was handed to a team that handles an Abu Dhabi-based mall contract; they were recognised for efficiently carrying out 4,000 COVID-19 tests every two weeks whilst coping with many variables.

PRIDE
One of the Pride awards went to the diversity and inclusion team, comprising Talent and Experience Manager Pavleen Sagoo and the Marketing and Communications team, for their efforts in developing structured, creative and modern initiatives which have resulted in Serco’s diversity and inclusion initiatives getting recognised internally across Serco divisions, as well as externally amongst other organisations and within the media.

Serco Middle East CEO Phil Malem said: “Serco is a people business and colleagues across the Middle East have proven time and time again just how innovative, trustworthy and caring they are. I’m so inspired by this year’s winners and all that they have done and appreciate that we were able to celebrate in-person this year.”

The evening concluded with recognition for four of the category winners who were pitted against colleagues worldwide to be crowned global winners.  Serco Group CEO Rupert Soames presented Martin Carrahar, Conrad Vermeulen, a military base team and a quick mobilisation team with awards.
