Date: 16 Aug 2011
Serco's US business has been awarded a task order under the U.S. Army HRsolutions Personnel Services and Support (PSS) ID/IQ contract. The task order has a one-year base period and two one-year options with a ceiling value of $9m, if all options are exercised.
The Company will provide financial management services to Army Soldiers at U.S. Army Defense Military Pay Office (DMPO) locations across the United States. Serco's will support a full-cycle of records management services including financial in-processing/out-processing, documentation, verification, transactions and customer service support. This win expands the work Serco has been performing for Army DMPO since 2006, and increases the number of managed locations from 2 to 10.
"We are excited to continue our work for the U.S. Army and the Soldiers who serve our country," said Harry Gatanas, Senior Vice President of Serco's Defense and Intel group. "We take pride in supporting the Defense Military Pay Offices, and being a reliable source for soldiers when they have inquiries about their financial transactions."
Under the HRsolutions PSS ID/IQ contract, Serco also provides counseling, and transition support and processing, to the Army's wounded warrior programs and family community programs. Serco has worked with the Army under the HRsolutions contract and predecessor vehicles since 1991.
