Federal Health Support Services Careers

In the United States, Serco has numerous Federal government clients for which we operate and manage large production facilities. These facilities support intake, triage, review, storage, and destruction of submitted documentation. We manage an SCA workforce of over 1,500 employees and provide support services around the world, including comprehensive support services solutions in determining eligibility for multiple benefits for multiple customers including NIH, HHS, DHS and USCIS in the United States.

Supporting the US Department of Health and Human Services

Serco holds a contract with the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to provide support services in the determination of eligibility for the Federally-Facilitated Marketplace (FFM) and the State-Based Marketplace (SBM) for the Eligibility Support tasks under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (Affordable Care Act) of 2010.

Positions include Project Management, Mail, File/Case Management, Document Scanning, Analysis, Quality Control in support of eligibility determination. Our tasks include the intake, routing, review, and troubleshooting of applications submitted for enrollment into a Qualified Health Plan (QHP) and for insurance affordability programs including, but not limited to, Advance Payment of Premium Tax Credits, Cost-Sharing Reductions, Medicaid, Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP), and the Basic Health Program (where applicable).

This contract has a base level of employment but is seasonal with peak periods between November and March.  We offer two, eight-hour shift options for our call and data processing center staff, and two, ten-hour shift options for our mailroom operations staff. Our production operation is open seven days a week, between the hours of 8:45 AM to 11:15 PM Eastern time.

*Training and production for our roles will be conducted in a telework from home environment. You must have adequate internet access and a private location within your home to be eligible for these positions.
*Training and production for our London, KY Mailroom Operations role is 100% on-site. There is no telework option for this role.
