Serco's Partnership with SkillBridge

With over 22% of Serco's workforce being veterans, we have pledged to continue growing our employee base with transitioning military members, veterans and their spouses. Open positions at Serco range from Information Technology, to Business Management and Administration, to Transportation and Logistics, along with many other high-growth career pathways.

The DOD SkillBridge program is an opportunity for Service members to gain valuable civilian work experience through specific industry training, apprenticeships or internships during the last 180 days of service. SkillBridge connects Service members with industry partners - like Serco - in real-world job experiences.

For Service members SkillBridge provides an invaluable chance to work and learn in civilian career areas.  Service members participating in SkillBridge receive their military compensation and benefits, while Serco provides the training and work experience.

 

                                      

During my tenure at Serco, I gained valuable knowledge about the inner workings of Human Resources in the civilian sector.  Collaborating with various departments allowed me to understand their unique operations and contribute to their success and gave me a deeper understanding of HR. The camaraderie among my fellow team members in HR, always willing to lend a hand, made me eager to be a part of this organization.

After 2 months we brought him on board to permanently.
