Defense in North America

In North America, we focus on delivering comprehensive system and equipment lifecycle support services for critical military assets within ship modernization, shore and base modernization, information technology (IT) solutions, hardware integration, acquisition and program management, logistics, and personnel readiness.

Today’s Joint Warfighters are expected to maintain a high state of readiness and flexibility within tight budgetary constraints. Serco’s extensive system/equipment lifecycle services help stretch precious sustainment and modernization dollars and services include requirements definition, engineering design, development and prototyping, installation and upgrade, sustainment and obsolescence management.

Every day Serco delivers vital defense operations support from build-to-print system production and ship C4ISR installation and upgrades to modification and repair of shore base security and surveillance systems. Our services extend the life of critical legacy weapons systems and sensors, while seamlessly integrating these systems with the latest C4ISR environments. We support major transformation initiatives to affordably deliver total situational awareness from the command center to the warfighter on the front line.

  • Our client base spans all major Department of Defense military services, including the U.S. Navy, U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Marines, as well as other critical Federal agencies including the U.S. Coast Guard and U.S. Customs and Border Patrol within the Department of Homeland Security, the Intelligence Community, and civilian agencies such as the Federal Trade Commission and the Federal Communications Commission. 

  • We provide the full lifecycle of military support services. Every year over 37,000 Navy Recruits pass through boot camp at Great Lakes, Serco’s certified counselors support over 140,000 soldiers as they leave military service, and we provide over 500 briefs to reserve units, reaching over 65,000 Reservists, to name but a few.

  • Over 1,000 Serco employees maintain professional certifications in 125 disciplines, including accounting and finance, program management, logistics, engineering, and technology, as well as process certifications such as International Standards Organization (ISO), Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), LEAN, Six Sigma, Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA), and Certified Cost Estimator/Analyst (CCEA).
