Serco is pleased to announce the appointment of Kate Steadman as its Group Strategy Director. Reporting to Rupert Soames, the Group Chief Executive, Kate will lead the further development of Serco’s strategy: analysing longer term trends, customer requirements and competitive dynamics in the markets in which Serco operates and building plans to deliver our future growth. Kate will also work closely with Serco’s new Centres of Excellence which are responsible for managing sector pipelines, developing value propositions and enabling knowledge sharing in order to fully harness our international expertise in chosen sectors across our geographies. In addition, she will lead our efforts to further develop Serco’s reputation as a valued and respected source of innovative thinking about the delivery of public services by private companies.
Kate, who will join Serco in February, is currently Senior Vice President for Strategy for Sodexo Group’s Global Government & Agencies business. Prior to this Kate was responsible for all Strategy and Public Sector Development for Sodexo in the UK and Ireland. Before joining Sodexo in 2010, Kate was an adviser to senior politicians in the fields of Criminal Justice, Home Affairs, Legal Affairs, Prisons & Probation.
