What you'll be doing
Serco provide vital accommodation and support services for people while their asylum claim is being processed. We manage a substantial property portfolio. We are invested heavily to improving the quality standards of the properties, ensuring asylum seekers in our care are comfortable and have access to the services they require.
Working Hours:
Monday-Friday 7.5 hours per day between 8am-6pm to meet the operational needs of the business. On call requirements and out of hours working- There will be a requirement to undertake out of hours on call duties, working on a rota basis to ensure 24/7 emergency cover is provided as per contractual responsibilities.
The skills you'll need:
You will have an ear for detail as a large part of the role is listening to individuals and helping to bring solutions to everyday queries. The detail is important as there has to be an element of accountability within the role, trust and transparency play a large part in delivering quality service. As well as an excellent telephone manner, keyboard and writing skills, you will also need to have the ability to use multiple IT systems to accurately capture data.
Training:
Training is ongoing. The company takes a practical approach to training with every member of staff going through an initial induction outlining the core elements of what is required. As well as continued online E-Learning that is detailed and current. The supporting team will be on hand to help and answer questions in real time and provide support.
