How to find and contact a prisoner?
Family and friends cannot telephone a prisoner directly.
To get in touch with a prisoner:
- Write a letter
- Send it to: [Prisoner’s name and number], HMP Doncaster, Marshgate, Doncaster, South Yorkshire, DN5 8UX
Telephone messages cannot be passed on unless in life threatening emergencies.
NB: If you have bad news to pass on to a prisoner, such as bereavement, please let the prison know before you pass on the news, by calling 01302 760 870. News such as this can be distressing for a prisoner. By knowing beforehand, prison staff can be ready to offer help and support.
