HMP Dovegate offers a variety of education and training programmes through our college and training academies.

We have provision to support our residents from those who have struggled to engage in education previously, through to learners who wish to complete a master’s degree.

Our Ethos

Inform

Learn of the opportunities available to them and construct a learning plan which is reviewed bi-annually.

Reform

We will support all prisoners in reforming their lives with a bespoke education and work offer underpinned by employability skills and British values.

Transform

Through our work together we will transform the opportunities available to all prisoners upon their release to reduce reoffending.

We hold quarterly celebrations “ The Dovegate Diamonds” where we celebrate achievements with families and friends. Recipients are nominated by staff from across the prison as well as their peers.

We will also send you annual summaries of the achievements of your family member with their permission.

No matter how long or short a prisoner is with us we have a programme to support them in making the most of their time at HMP Dovegate.
