Serco Receives 2021 Cigna Well-Being Award

Serco Inc., a provider of professional, technology and management services, announced today that the Company has been selected as a winner of Cigna’s 2021 Well-Being Awards.  The Company is being recognized for demonstrating a strong commitment to improving the health and well-being of its employees through a workplace wellness program. 

Over the course of the COVID-19 pandemic, Serco continuously acknowledged the significance of well-being in the workplace, through a holistic four-pillar approach to employee wellness that focuses on Physical, Emotional, Financial and Social health. Program components such as Wellness Wednesdays (a virtual lunch and learn series), and WorkWell (a series of webinars and guides), were created to promote the numerous resources available to employees and to provide on-going support to them during the pandemic. Topics included how to lead virtual teams, resources for working parents, how to stay healthy at home, and more.

Departments and teams from across the organization came together quickly to assemble and share content to make these new program elements a success. Existing elements were also updated in order to encourage participation while parts of the organization had transitioned to maximum telework. The pandemic also brought into sharper focus the importance of emotional well-being. While emotional well-being has been a pillar of health at Serco for the past few years, in response to the pandemic, Serco increased efforts around creating ways to help support the emotional well-being of all employees.

The Cigna panel of health promotion experts selected Serco for this award based on the components of outstanding leadership and employee engagement, a strong corporate culture, a solid program strategy and goals, and effective implementation.
