Serco Appoints Industry Veteran Melissa Marousek as Chief People Officer

Serco, a provider of professional, technology, engineering, and management services today announced the appointment of Melissa Marousek as Serco in North America’s Chief People Officer and Senior Vice President.  In this role, Melissa will lead Serco’s human resources strategy, overseeing talent management, organizational development, cultural transformation initiatives to ensure the company attracts, develops, and retains top talent. She will report directly to Serco in North America’s Chief Executive Officer, Tom Watson, and will serve on the Executive Management Team.

Melissa brings over 20 years of extensive experience in human resources, having held senior leadership positions at J&J Worldwide Services and Lockheed Martin. At J&J Worldwide Services, she served as Chief Human Resources Officer, where she played a pivotal role in modernizing and scaling the HR function to support business growth and led the HR diligence through a successful $800M acquisition. Prior to that, she spent nearly a decade at Lockheed Martin, where she held various leadership roles and was instrumental in aligning business strategy with people initiatives to drive organizational success.

A U.S. Army veteran, Melissa holds a Master of Business Administration in Strategic Management from the University of Wisconsin—Madison and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin—Oshkosh. She is also certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and a SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP).
