Serco Receives General Aviation Business Champion Award from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport

Serco Inc., a provider of professional, technology, engineering, and management services, announced today that the Company has been honored with the General Aviation Business Champion Award by the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport Aviation Department. The award was presented at the airport's Aviation Business Summit on February 25, 2024, recognizing Serco’s exceptional leadership and contributions to the growth and success of general aviation in the Phoenix area.

The Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport hosted its annual Aviation Business Summit, that brought together more than 500 attendees and 35 exhibitors from local businesses, city departments and community organizations to engage in meaningful discussions about the future of aviation commerce. The summit also featured the second annual Business Recognition Program, highlighting outstanding contributors to the sector. Jerry Alvarado, Aviation Project Manager for Serco's FAA Contract Tower Program, accepted the award on behalf of the Company.

The FAA Contract Tower Program leverages private contractors to provide air traffic control services at eligible airports, enhancing safety and efficiency while allowing the FAA to manage resources strategically. Serco operates 28 towers for the FAA’s Contract Tower (FCT) Program, responsible for over 2,000,000 annual aircraft operations including commercial flights transporting millions of passengers each year. The General Aviation Business Champion Award celebrates individuals and organizations that have demonstrated remarkable dedication and impact on general aviation.
