This past quarter has been very exciting for our #SercoInSpace teams in Europe, as we got the chance to attend and sponsor key industry events and exhibitions. Following Serco’s recent acquisition of Sapienza, our space team has been growing and joined forces for a number of exciting events. Here is a recap of all the events that were attended by Serco space teams in Europe over the past few months:

Space-Comm Expo 2022

What: The UK’s largest exhibition focused on the commercial future of space for business, defence, and aerospace.

When: 7-8 September 2022

Where: Farnborough International Exhibition and Conference Centre, Farnborough, The UK

Our team had two stands at the event. One stand was dedicated to Serco's ECLIPSE Software Suite and one stand was dedicated to the rest of the Serco offerings in Europe.

IAC – 73rd International Astronautical Congress

What: Annual meeting of the actors in the discipline of space hosted by the International Astronautical Federation consisting of plenary sessions, lectures and meetings. It is attended by the agency heads and senior executives of the world's space agencies.

When: 18-22 September 2022

Where: Paris Convention Centre, Paris, France

We were delighted to be amongst the 9300+ delegates and get a glimpse of the latest scientific and technical innovations from all over the world.

ESA Industry Space Days 2022

What: ESA's Industry Space Days (ISD) event fosters cooperation and the sharing of ideas and expertise through partnerships within the space sector. Its focus is to increase the involvement of SMEs in space activities.

When: 28-29 September 2022

Where: ESTEC, Noordwijk, the Netherlands

A great opportunity to attend industry keynotes and panel discussions as well as connect with prospective clients through 1-on-1 meetings.

EU Space Week

What: The go-to event for Europe’s space community jointly organised by the European Commission and the EU Agency for the Space Programme (EUSPA).

When: 03-06 October 2022

Where: Hybrid event - Výstaviště Prague Exhibition Centre, Prague, Czech Republic and online

Space Tech Expo Europe

What: Europe’s largest B2B event for the space industry, showcasing the latest from technical designers, sub-system suppliers, manufacturers and components through the systems integrators for civil, military, and commercial space.

When: 15-17 November 2022

Where: Messe Bremen, Bremen, Germany

This past quarter has been a fruitful one in terms of our teams attending most of the key industry conferences, maintaining a strategic overview of the ever-evolving European space landscape, and establishing new connections with customers and peers. Serco’s space teams are expecting a busy and exciting year ahead, full of opportunities for attending more exciting space events and further expanding our network within the buzzing space industry.
