Serco amongst the finalists in five categories at the 2024 Women in Tech Employer Awards

We are excited to announce that Serco has been selected to be among the finalists at the prestigious Women in Tech Employer Awards 2024.

With a strong track record of supporting women in technology and a continuous commitment to creating an inclusive workplace in the tech industry, we are honoured to be named as finalists within the following categories:
 

• Best Employer (over 1,000 employees)
  
  This award recognises employers with over 1,000 employees who have demonstrated an outstanding effort over the past 18 months to attract and retain women in their IT/ Technology departments.
   
• Best Employer Network – Serco’s internal “Women in Tech” network
  
  This award celebrates the opportunities and empowerment created by the structure of a women’s network.
   
• Outstanding Advocate for Women in Tech
  
  This award recognises an influential person who is an advocate for women in tech. This person is an ally for gender diversity in tech and works hard to raise awareness in the tech industry.

It celebrates the individual who has a true passion for women in technology, is contributing to closing the gender pay gap by placing women in tech roles, and who is continually helping encourage women in the workplace.

Women in Tech Employer Awards is a recognition program dedicated to celebrating and promoting the achievements of women in the technology industry. The initiative not only honours individual women who excel in their respective roles but also recognizes organisations that are actively working to create more inclusive and supportive environments for women in tech. 

Serco is proud to not only be a key sponsor of the Women in Tech Employer Awards, helping to make this important event possible but also to have been recognised as a finalist for the second time since 2022.

This year, we are especially honored to have our Talent Acquisition Director for Europe, Tony Wilson, selected as one of the esteemed judges, further underscoring our commitment to advancing diversity and excellence in the tech industry.

The awards night will be held on 12th November 2024 and will offer a unique chance for networking and entertainment.
