Serco Awarded Service Contract by European Space Agency to Support its Earth Observation Programmes (D/EOP)

We are pleased to announce that the European Space Agency (ESA) has awarded Serco a 2-year contract for supporting the Business Unit Controlling Office and the Project Management Support Office for the Directorate of Earth Observation Programmes (D/EOP).
Under this new service contract, the Serco led Consortium will offer a comprehensive support to over 30 ESA-developed Earth Observation (EO) Missions within the Copernicus, Meteorological, Earth Explorers to National Programmes during all Phases of their developments. The contract kicked off on 1st of September 2024, and will be crucial in supporting ESA’s strategic locations in the Netherlands and Italy.
This new service will be key to support the Directorate of Earth Observation in delivering its objective - within the context of ESA transformation mission - of evolving into a more agile, responsive, and dynamic Agency, particularly in light of the increasing challenges faced by the organization.
Our European Business Development Director, Guido Vingione stated:

Serco has a rich history of over 40 years in supporting the space sector, having assisted more than 50 customers with their space missions. This contract further strengthens Serco’s role as a trusted partner to ESA in providing managed services in Business Administration, Configuration and Document Management, Project control and Scheduling support.
