Serco receives ESA Frame Contract (EFC2) “Best in Domain” Award for 2023

Serco is proud to announce that it has been awarded the “Best in Domain” award for 2023 by their customer the European Space Agency (ESA) in the Netherlands. This recognition highlights the quality of services in the framework of the EFC2 contract.

On 11 November, the European Space Research and Technology Centre (ESTEC) of ESA in the Netherlands hosted a ceremony event to announce the awards to all Prime contractors providing the best quality of support under the ESA Directorates Competitive Frame Contract 2 (EFC2), which was extended this year to run until the end of 2026.

As part of this specific contract, Serco colleagues provide services in various areas spanning from Space Engineering, Telecommunications, Product Assurance Engineering, through Software Engineering and Data Science, to Business Administration and Project Management.

For year 2023, Serco was recognised for our outstanding work done in the following domains:

• IT Support – MAS
• Engineering Support to Galileo Program and Navigation-related activities – MAS
• Electromagnetics Components Data & Power Systems Engineering Service – SVC
• Science Operations-Service – SVC
• Engineering Support to Telecommunications and Integrated Applications - MAS

Congratulations to the fantastic Serco colleagues at the European Space Research and Technology Centre (ESTEC) in the Netherlands, the European Space Astronomy Centre (ESAC) in Spain, and the European Centre for Space Applications and Telecommunications (ECSAT) in the UK for their achievement year after year.
