Our space teams have had a busy few month, attending many key industry conferences, maintaining a strategic overview of the ever-evolving Global space landscape, and establishing new connections with customers and peers as well as being in the frontline to showcase our progress and contribution to the DestinE Platform.
Space Tech Expo Europe
What: Europe’s largest B2B event for the space industry, showcasing the latest from technical designers, sub-system suppliers, manufacturers and components through the systems integrators for civil, military, and commercial space.

Our ECLIPSE Software Suite Team represented us, who had the opportunity to speak with organisations of all sizes currently using ECLIPSE for collaboration and management, as well as with new clients who have recently joined us. Additionally, organisations exploring the integration of ECLIPSE into their workflows shared their technical challenges and goals, opening up meaningful discussions on how we can support them.
The expo featured exciting projects, from satellites to propulsion systems. Sustainability was a key focus, with engaging discussions on in-orbit servicing and space debris mitigation offering valuable insights into the future of the space industry. We also connected with commercial and government organisations to learn how they are shaping the future of the sector.
UNCCD COP16 Riyadh
What: Gathering leaders from governments, the private sector, civil society, and global stakeholders to accelerate progress in sustainable land management. COP16 is a critical moment for governments and non-state actors to slow and reverse land degradation. Action at the Riyadh COP is the only way to turn the tide on the loss of fertile land globally.

Serco Middle East’s Head of Space Amar Vora moderated a panel discussion to discuss the transformative role of remote sensing data centres in sustainable land management and agriculture. The panel explored how cloud computing and advanced data processing support sustainable land use, water resource management and AI driven solutions to combat desertification and drive land recovery. This discussion reflects Serco’s ongoing efforts to support Vision 2030 through innovative technologies that address climate challenges and promote sustainable development.
UN World Space Forum
What: This event brought together space leaders, agencies, and industry pioneers to tackle critical topics such as: Space Traffic Management, Space Debris Management and Space Resources.

Our Space Sales Manager Mathilde Morée was there to engage on the future of space innovation, connected to expand our network and explore collaboration opportunities. We also joined the technical tours at European Astronaut Centre and DLR, exploring the Lunar lab and operations centre – a glimpse into the future of space exploration.
NSE ExpoForum 2024
What: New Space Economy, expo and conference, was created in 2019 with the scope of becoming the international reference event on the new space economy challenges and perspectives, organized by Fiera Roma.

Cristiano De Vincenti and Lidia Saavedra de Miguel delivered a talk on ‘Serco: Solutions and Contributions to the IRIDE Programme’. We shared how Serco, alongside key Italian partners, is contributing to one of Europe’s most ambitions Earth Observation programmes, providing advanced services across ground segments, downstream solutions, and applications to serve public administrations in various domains.
Andrea Pensa, Calogera Tona represented our work in the Destination Earth initiative, where we are implementing the Core Service Platform to create a digital twin of Earth, enabling data-driven solutions for global environmental challenges.
Additionally, our HR team engaged with attendees, presenting exiting career paths within Serco and our contributions to innovative space programmes.
ESOC Industry Day 2025
What: The European Space Operations Centre (ESOC) organised an industry day, which focused on Competitive Frame Contracts in Ground Segment Engineering and Mission Operations.

17th European Space Conference
What: It is a unique platform to address the most pressing topics and challenges faced by the European space ecosystem. In 2025, the European space sector is set to experience significant developments as Europe commits to expand its space capabilities, cultivate a dynamic space ecosystem, and establish a strong presence in the global space arena amid an evolving international context.

Our Managing Director for Space in Europe, Roberto Mulatti participated at a high-level panel discussion on day 1 on ‘Data Accessibility and Management: Machine Learning, AI, and Cloud Solutions, where he reinforced our commitment to Europe's ambitions with efficient and secure solutions.
ESA Digital Twin Earth Components: Open Science Meeting

Our team had the opportunity to present insights into the DestinE Platform, engaging with the scientific and space industry communities on its cutting-edge capabilities. From the poster session, where we explored onboarding and integration options, to our presentation on the DestinE Platform’s features and services, it was a fantastic chance to exchange ideas and showcase Serco’s role in the Destination Earth initiative.

DLR TecDays 2025 – German Space Technology in Europe
What: Networking and co-operation within the German space community as well as a fundamental understanding of how the institutional players in the European space sector work are important prerequisites for success in Europe and on the international market. With insights into ESA, EU, and EUSPA technology initiatives, as well as Germany’s national space programme, DLR TecDays provides a key platform for networking and strategic discussions within the industry.
