The past six months have been busy for our space teams. From policy discussions in Brussels to hands-on community exchanges in Reims, major open days at ESA centres, and milestone Copernicus launches.

European Space Forum
What: Two-day policy and industry forum bringing together European decision-makers, agencies, primes, and New Space actors to discuss competitiveness, autonomy, security, and the future of Europe’s space programmes.

Integrated Administration and Control System (IACS): Community Exchange Conference (ICE)
What: A European Commission (JRC) community conference focused on land monitoring, control frameworks, and implementation realities for agriculture payment verification — with strong interest in scaling digital workflows and operationalising EO access.
When: 9–11 September 2025
Where: Reims, France
Serco highlight: We showcased how we support faster and more reliable verification through dedicated cloud infrastructure and EO access via the Copernicus Data Space Ecosystem — and discussed opportunities around AI and Digital Twins, including Destination Earth (DestinE).

ESA–ESOC Open Day
What: ESA’s European Space Operations Centre opened its doors to the public — spotlighting how missions are flown, how anomalies are handled, and how ground infrastructure enables everything from spacecraft control to user services.

Serco Europe 1st Internal Space Conference
What: Serco Europe’s first internal Space Conference — bringing colleagues together to align on strategy, share operational insight, and collaborate across countries and contracts, including discussions on AI and emerging technologies in space.

EUMETSAT Climate Symposium 2025
What: A climate-focused symposium on turning satellite climate records into usable climate services — with emphasis on collaboration between data providers, service developers, and downstream users.
When: 28–30 October 2025

Space Tech Expo Europe 2025
What: Europe’s largest dedicated space technology trade fair — a dense, practical forum for suppliers, integrators, and mission teams across hardware, engineering, operations, and defence-adjacent space capability.
When: 18–20 November 2025
Where: Bremen, Germany
Serco highlight: Our team joined the conversations around AI in space operations, communications and data transfer concepts, and the evolving intersection of space and defence — reinforcing the demand for operational partners who can help translate innovation into reliable services.

18th European Space Conference
What: A major European policy and industry moment — focused on sovereignty, security, resilience, industrial capacity, and delivery across flagship programmes.
When: 27–28 January 2026
Where: Brussels, Belgium
Serco highlight: Roberto Mulatti, Managing Director Europe, Space, participated in the panel ‘Evolving Needs and Capabilities for Earth Observation’, alongside key European space industry leaders discussing end-to-end service delivery, the importance of public-private collaboration, and the importance of Europe making Earth Observation accessible to new non-traditional space users.
