John Poulsen joins Serco Australia Advisory Board
Published: 4 Feb 2013
Serco Australia has announced the appointment of John Poulsen to its Advisory Board.
Mr Poulsen is the Australian Managing Partner of Squire Sanders, the first global law firm to be headquartered in Perth. He is one of the leading finance lawyers in Australia.
Mr Poulsen is the immediate past president of the Committee for Economic Development of Australia (CEDA) Western Australia and was a member of the national board of CEDA from 2004 to 2011. He is also a member of the WA Branch of the Australia China Business Council, sits on the Advisory Board for the Curtin Graduate School of Business, is Deputy Chair and member of the board of Volunteering WA and Chair of the Corporate Volunteer Council of Western Australia.
Serco Advisory Board Chairman Adrian Kloeden said the appointment of Mr Poulsen reflected the company’s position as a significant business in Western Australia and nationally.
“Serco delivers important services and in WA has six dedicated contracts, one joint venture and manages two subsidiary companies,” Mr Kloeden said.
“John’s experience in corporate business, his extensive knowledge of economic development, understanding of Public Private Partnerships and outsourcing models through his legal practice will provide a further level of experience on our advisory board.
“In addition John is a keen supporter of volunteering, young people, education, the arts, and in battling homelessness and education around mental health issues in society. His commitment to these causes highlights values we recognise and welcome at Serco.”
