Serco celebrates staff on National Corrections Day

Published: 17 Jan 2020

Serco today celebrates staff for their success delivering positive outcomes for communities and those in custody across Australia for almost 14 years.

Marking the significance of National Corrections Day, events are being held across the country to acknowledge the outstanding achievements and service delivered by our people every day.

Pursuing a rehabilitative approach to justice, with a focus on education, training, and reintegration programs, our people are committed to delivering better social outcomes and helping to reduce reoffending.

Serco Australia CEO Mark Irwin welcomed the opportunity to celebrate the achievements of staff.

“Serco has provided outstanding service in corrections around Australia for the past 14 years. With our Government partners we deliver safe and secure facilities with a focus on rehabilitation and reintegration to improve overall community safety. We are very proud of our record, not only in managing four correctional centres across Australia, but introducing a number of innovations to reduce reoffending in the community,” he said.

“I would like to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of our staff, whose commitment to making a positive difference in public service delivery helps to rebuild lives and improve community safety.

“National Corrections Day provides a great opportunity for us to celebrate the success of our people, who really are making an impact.”
