Serco shares frontline expertise at Future Justice and Corrections Summit 2026

Published: 20 May 2026

Across two sessions, Shaun shared frontline insights drawn from operational experience, highlighting how safe, sustainable infrastructure and human‑centred design can strengthen security, support and workforce wellbeing, in addition to improving long‑term outcomes for people in custody.

His contribution to the Designing for Impact: Safe and Sustainable Infrastructure in Modern Corrections panel reinforced the importance of operator‑led design, energy efficiency and spatial planning in creating correctional environments that are fit for purpose, both today and into the future.

“Correctional infrastructure has a direct impact on safety, wellbeing and outcomes. When design is informed by operational experience and delivered in partnership with government, we can create environments that support secure operations while also enabling rehabilitation and positive change,” said Shaun.

Shaun’s presentations exemplified what strong justice leadership looks like: grounded in practice, informed by evidence, and focused on collaboration.

They also reflected the depth of expertise Serco brings to the justice system not just as an operator, but as a trusted global partner to governments working to deliver safe, secure and sustainable justice services.

At Serco, we are proud to deliver justice services for the Government of Western Australia, the NSW Government, the Government of South Australia, the Victorian Government and the New Zealand Government. Our global footprint enables us to bring international best practice into local delivery.

Working in partnership with corrections departments to support full prison management, health services, facilities management, justice transport and reintegration programs, our focus remains on community safety, operational excellence and better outcomes for the people in our care.

Events like the Future Justice and Corrections Summit create opportunities for conversations, shared learning and collective problem‑solving.

Together with our government partners, we remain committed to delivering justice services that are safe, secure and built for the future.
