International Nurses Day: Celebrating the 1,150 Serco nurses at the forefront of healthcare
Published: 12 May 2025

On International Nurses Day 2025, we celebrate the dedication and hard work of Serco’s nursing team across Asia Pacific. This year's theme, " Our Nurses. Our Future. Caring for nurses strengthens economies," highlights the vital role nurses play in shaping the future of healthcare. At Serco, we are proud to have a workforce of more than 1,150 nurses who are integral to our healthcare services.
Serco’s nurses support the delivery of primary and acute care across many diverse settings including public hospitals, community health hubs, correctional facilities, Australian Defence Force Health Centres. They also help people across regional and remote communities access the care they need when they need it through delivering national telehealth services. These remarkable individuals are dedicated to providing high-quality care and support to communities and client workforces across the Asia Pacific region.
Community Services Managing Director and former Registered Nurse, Jeannine Biviano believes that this years’ theme for International Nurses Day serves as an important reminder to make sure nurses are treated with the same level of care that nurses constantly provide to their patients.
“Nurses play an integral role in improving health outcomes and enabling healthcare operators to achieve better patient outcomes and reduced healthcare costs. By focussing on the wellbeing of nurses themselves, we are building a workforce of healthy nurses who are better equipped to provide high-quality care, which leads to improved health outcomes for our communities,” said Ms Biviano.
“At Serco, we are we dedicated to prioritising the health and wellbeing of nurses, supporting them to deliver the highest quality care which is essential for sustaining and strengthening economies.”
Serco provides dedicated specialist clinical staff at more than 75 facilities across Australia and delivers integrated healthcare services, combining clinical workforce solutions, service design, and facility management and we are excited to introduce some of the team that make this possible.
