Serco is a people business – and serving others is at the very core of what we do.
We're deeply proud of the meaningful and important work our people do to serve our customers, communities and citizens across the Asia Pacific region. And we’re committed to providing a working environment in which they can be their best.
From promoting a culture of safety at work and encouraging the uptake of employee health and wellbeing initiatives, to prioritising opportunities for professional development and fostering a diverse and inclusive environment – we put people and their wellbeing first, so they can create a positive impact through their work every day.
In every country, every division and every team across Serco, there are examples of people driving change forward. Small steps being taken to deliver incredible outcomes that truly make an impact.
The creation of Serco’s First Nations Employment Hub (FNEH) is one such example. The FNEH is an employment and mentoring program helping first nations people to secure jobs, build skillsets, grow networks and progress in their careers.
The program mirrors the strong role that community plays in first nations culture by creating a community around each new starter. It tailors the recruitment process to individuals and their cultural and language needs, while also helping to grow their confidence on the job through mentoring and education opportunities.
Providing opportunities for our people to grow and thrive at Serco is an important part of our sustainability work. As an organisation, we know our people are one of our greatest assets – and ensuring they are fulfilled, supported and feel enthusiastic when they come to work every day is just one way we can give back.
