In 2017 we joined Inclusive Employers, the UK’s first and leading membership organisation for employers looking to build inclusive workplaces. In 2021 Serco was acknowledged with Silver status in recognition of the progress made and the programs in place to support inclusion.
Inclusive Employers - experts in diversity and inclusion
In 2017 we began our partnership with everywoman, one of the world’s largest network and learning platform for women and men in business. This partnership gives colleagues (male and female) access to an online portal where they can find a wealth of personal development tools which are intended to support the challenges faced at all levels of business.
Joining is easy and free for all colleagues – it does not require a Serco email address and the app can be downloaded on a personal phone.
Business in the Community (BITC) are leading a movement to create a fair and sustainable world in which to live and work. BITC’s Race at Work 2018: The Scorecard Report was published one year after the McGregor-Smith Review. It looked at how UK employers were performing against the recommendations outlined in the review. The findings led Business in the Community (BITC) to create the Race at Work Charter, five calls to action for organisations committed to improving equality of opportunity in the workplace. In 2021 the Charter was expanded to include allyship and inclusive supply chain commitments.
