Alejandro Marquez Appointed as Associate Director of Sustainability and Technical Lead for Climatize, a Serco Company

Serco is pleased to announce the appointment of Alejandro Marquez as Associate Director of Sustainability - Technical Lead, for Climatize, a company recently acquired by Serco. With over 18 years of professional experience, with 15 dedicated to sustainability and energy efficiency, Alejandro brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the team.

Alejandro began his career as a Mechanical Engineer specialising in Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) design for high performance buildings in Mexico. His early involvement with Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification led him to transition into a Commissioning Agent role, further deepening his expertise in sustainable design.

In 2017, Alejandro relocated to Spain to take on the role of a LEED Project Manager. His responsibilities included performing energy simulations and commissioning activities. During this time, Alejandro also achieved his WELL AP and BREEAM certifications, adding to his impressive list of professional credentials in the sustainability and energy efficiency field. These include LEED AP, PEM , CPMP, WELL AP, and BREEAM NC ES.

With his extensive experience and diverse background from working across multiple countries, Alejandro is poised to bring a global perspective and innovative solutions to Climatize. In his new role, he will be instrumental in driving the company's expansion within the Middle East region and beyond. His responsibilities will encompass enhancing Quality Assurance and Quality Control as well as providing technical support at a senior level.
