Serco has been enlisted to provide training to fire and rescue services professionals on behalf of Dubai Airports.
Training commenced in 2021 in the form of a 1-year rolling contract and was extended through to 2023.
Utilising training ground facilities at Dubai World Central (DWC) and the deployment of Serco IFTC trainers and training material, Serco carried out an accredited aviation 8-week initial firefighter training course as part of the nationalisation programme at the airport facility for the Emirate of Dubai, the first programme of its kind in the country.
Due to two successful cohorts, this has been extended with further courses booked for 2022 and 2023, with the potential to continue into 2024.
Some of the services Serco can provide are:
• Aviation firefighting training
• Structural firefighting training
• Industrial firefighting training
• First aid and medical response training
• Incident command and control/virtual reality capabilities
• Health and safety training
• Risk assessment training
