Serco has delivered air traffic control and related services at Dubai International Airport since 1967

Commissioned CAT IIIB operations on closely spaced parallel runways.

 

Commissioned electronic flight progress strips at Dubai and Al Maktoum International Airport air traffic control towers.

 

Designed and commissioned a state-of-the-art 360-degree air traffic control simulation tower that has won international recognition and can be configured to mimic any airport in the world.

Serco has provided air traffic control services at Baghdad International Airport since 2011.

Introduced Reduced Vertical Separation Minima across Iraqi airspace, increasing airway throughput.

Serco, together with ATRiCS, has installed a state-of-the art simulator at Sharjah International Airport

The ATRiCS simulator supports all functions of modern air traffic management systems, provides 3D tower visualisation up to 270 degrees and is suitable for primary and advanced training for tower and ground controllers. It is designed to meet ICAO requirements for regular, consistent and high-quality ATC training and to help build the capability for the training of ATCs 

 

The world-class simulator allows for fully scalable, high-fidelity simulation using the Sharjah Airport layout to familiarise air traffic controllers with a realistic environment coupled with a high degree of automation and integration

 

The simulator will also be used as an integrated platform for ongoing evaluation and research activities

Serco is the sole provider of FAA Leadership training

We have a team of over 800 Serco ATC FAA qualified instructors

 

Our Training Manual (Serco Manual 100-3, Training) and the Facility Training Plans for each of the sites we operate, align with and complement FAA Order JO 3120.4, Air Traffic Technical Training.

Serco has worked with Sharjah Department of Civil Aviation for over 70 years
