Serco appoints Tom Riall as Chief Executive of its Global Services business

Serco, the FTSE 100 international service company today announced the appointment of Tom Riall as Chief Executive of its newly formed Global Services business, with immediate effect. Susir Kumar will take over as Executive Chairman of Serco's Global Services Division.

Serco's new Global Services business has been formed by combining, Intelenet Global Services, The Listening Company, Excelior & other middle & back office contracts within the Serco Group. This has enabled Serco to offer the full spectrum of Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) offerings to its clients. This business has seen a number of early successes with the award of the Anglia Support Partnership contract in the UK and contracts with private sector organisations including Shop Direct, Esure, Ideal Shopping and Freemans Gratton Holdings. Serco's Global Services business has over 50,000 employees across 99 locations and a presence in 10 countries.

In his role as Chief Executive, Tom will be responsible for the running of the entire business and ensuring the long-term success and profitability of the Global Services Division 
With a career spanning over 25 years in the service industry, Tom Riall has held senior leadership positions in Onyx UK Ltd and Reliance Group plc, before joining Serco 8 years ago as Managing Director of the Home Affairs business. He subsequently became Chief Executive of Serco's largest division in the UK, a post he held for 5 years until his appointment to lead the company's newly established BPO business.
