Serco recognised for excellent health and safety at two Scottish hospitals

The Serco teams providing facilities management services, such as catering and cleaning, at two Scottish hospitals have once again been recognised for outstanding health and safety performance in the internationally acclaimed Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) annual Occupational Health and Safety Awards 2016.

Serco scooped a prestigious President's award (for 13 consecutive Golds) for Wishaw General Hospital and a Gold Medal award (for five consecutive Golds) for Forth Valley Royal Hospital.

The company were presented with the sought after accolades during a special, diamond anniversary awards ceremony which took place at the Hilton Glasgow hotel last week (15 September 2016).

Stephanie Gray-Roberts, Clinical Governance Director for Serco’s UK Health business, who attended the event with several frontline employees from both hospitals, commented: “Being safe is a top priority for Serco and I am proud that we have been recognised by RoSPA for our consistently high standards. Our continued success in these awards is down to our people, who really care about the health and safety of patients, their families and the staff that look after them.”
