Serco strengthens its support to colleagues suffering domestic abuse
Published: 25 Nov 2025
Serco is reaffirming its commitment to supporting its 28,000 UK colleagues by becoming an EIDA Strategic Partner working with industry leaders to promote the safety and wellbeing of those impacted by domestic abuse.
As a White Ribbon-accredited employer, Serco promotes a workplace culture built on trust, care, and pride and this latest partnership strengthens the organisation’s pledge to drive positive change.
The Employers' Initiative on Domestic Abuse (EIDA) supports over 2,000 large and small businesses, collectively comprising over 25% of the UK workforce, to take effective action on domestic abuse.
Shaun Stacey, Serco’s Chief People and Culture Officer for UK and Europe, said: “We have already begun drawing on EIDA’s expertise to shape internal awareness materials and communications. Resources such as Jaswant Nawal’s guidance on how colleagues can safely support someone experiencing abuse have been fundamental in strengthening how we raise awareness and support our people.
“By working with EIDA, we will continue to raise awareness, signpost resources, and equip managers to respond safely and consistently.”
Today, to coincide with White Ribbon Day, Serco has launched a domestic abuse support package for all colleagues and over the coming months, this will be expanded to include training delivered by Women’s Aid.
Susan Bright, CEO of EIDA, commented: “We are very pleased to welcome Serco as EIDA’s newest Strategic Partner. We look forward to joining forces with them as they develop their workplace response to domestic abuse, and hope that their leading example will inspire other employers to take action to support their employees.”
