Serco Pathways is our commitment to creating fair, supported and sustainable routes into employment for people who face structural barriers to work.
We believe that when people who have faced unfair barriers to work are given the opportunity to contribute their skills, experience and potential, our communities grow stronger - and so does society as a whole.
Serco Pathways sits at the heart of our social value ambition: to improve social mobility across the UK and ensure opportunity is within reach for everyone.
Why Serco Pathways matters
Thriving communities are built on inclusion. Yet too many people - whether because of a criminal record, military transition, homelessness, care experience or long‑term unemployment - face systemic barriers that prevent them from accessing meaningful work.
Serco Pathways is designed to remove those barriers.
By offering structured support, reforming traditional recruitment processes and forming partnerships with expert organisations, we help people build stable careers while contributing to safer, healthier and more resilient communities.
This is Serco doing what works for society and what’s good for Serco’s business. It strengthens our workforce, widens our talent pool and helps us deliver more for our customers.
What is Serco Pathways?
Serco Pathways supports people who’ve faced unfair barriers to employment - including prison leavers, people with criminal justice experience, military veterans, reservists and their families, care experienced individuals and people with experience of homelessness.
With guaranteed interviews, inclusive vetting, mentoring and tailored training, Pathways opens access to sustainable careers across Serco and our supply chain.
