Impacting a better future: people, place, planet
The climate and nature crisis is one of the most urgent challenges of our time. We fully recognise both the risks it poses and the opportunities it brings to our business. With this in mind, we acknowledge our responsibility to reduce Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions and protect a healthy natural environment, working in partnership with our customers, partners, and suppliers.
To tackle this, we have implemented a Net Zero Action Plan (NZAP), setting an ambitious goal of achieving Net Zero by 2050 or sooner. This multi-year program outlines the necessary steps to reduce our own operational emissions while also supporting our customers in their Net Zero journeys. Clear ownership and commitment from our business leaders are at the heart of this plan.
In 2024, our Net Zero targets were validated by the Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi), setting firm, science-backed goals to guide our environmental efforts in the years ahead. These validated targets represent a pivotal milestone, driving all of our work to minimise our environmental impact.
A force for good
Our goal is closely aligned with our purpose to impact a better future, as environmental sustainability is key to the wellbeing of society. This commitment is demonstrated through the ongoing reduction of our GHG footprint and the delivery of sustainability services to governments worldwide.
Our NZAP plays a vital role in this effort, laying out a structured, multi-year approach to achieving Net Zero by 2050 - or sooner. The NZAP not only guides our internal sustainability practices but also helps our customers reach their own Net Zero goals. It further reinforces our dedication to making a meaningful, science-backed impact on climate action and contributing to a more sustainable world.
“In our Net Zero Action Plan (NZAP), we have created a practical, forward-thinking strategy that not only reduces our environmental impact but also aligns with our long-term business goals. This approach contributes to a more sustainable future while driving innovation, improving efficiency, and fostering resilience in our operations and offerings.”
