Serco partners with Future Horizons to help Early Service Leavers of the Armed Forces

Published: 17 Sep 2013

Serco has launched a partnership with the Future Horizons Programme (FHP) to offer employment opportunities to early service leavers from the Armed Forces in the Environmental Services sector across the UK.

FHP provides a unique service to Early Service Leavers (ESLs) who are not eligible for the full range of resettlement support provided by the Armed Forces. These individuals are supported as they make the transition to civilian life from the Armed Forces and Serco is privileged to be supporting this worthy cause. The alliance was initiated by Serco when it recognised that there was an opportunity to assist this group of people to build a new life.

This new relationship with FHP enables Serco to promote employment opportunities to ex-service men and women through FHP's channels so that they are easily accessible. This includes advertising, information on their website www.futurehorizons.org, directing people to Serco's preferred recruitment agencies, Cue Personnel and Premier Recruitment Solutions, and alerts of employment opportunities to all of FHP's specialist employment consultants around the country.

Tim Guile, Partnership Director for Serco Environmental Services, said: "We are delighted to be working together with the Future Horizons Project to reach out to Early Service Leavers to offer them employment to help support the start of their new life. I believe that at Serco we offer the opportunity to work in a rewarding industry and we encourage and support professional development to those keen to enhance their career or climb the ladder. I'd like to encourage all ex-service men and women to consider Serco and the opportunities we have to offer them."
