- Serco to continue delivering marine fire training
Serco's International Fire Training Centre (IFTC) has won a £1.2m contract to deliver five more years of hot fire training to delegates at the Warsash Maritime Academy in Southampton.
The IFTC is internationally renowned for its aviation, off shore, and industrial fire training courses and this contract award continues to develop Serco's reputation as an international leader in its field. It also expands the team's capability to run small fire training grounds globally where it is un-economical for the end user to do so themselves and demonstrates the diverse and highly specialised portfolio of core services offered by IFTC to its customers.
Commenting on the win, Ronnie Coutts, Director for Serco Training & Resilience, said: "We're delighted that the International Fire Training Centre has been selected to continue to support the Warsash Maritime Academy with fire training staff. This renewed relationship is built on the strength of our service in Southampton and the ability to reach-back into the skills of IFTC. We're really looking forward to developing the solution with the team at Warsash."
