New CEO for Serco's UK & Europe, Local & Regional Government division

Serco is pleased to announce the appointment of Liz Benison as the new Chief Executive Officer for its UK & Europe, Local & Regional Government division, which in 2013 had revenues of over £900m and employed over 14,000 people. Liz will join Serco on 1 September and will be a member of the Group's Executive Committee.
In this role, Liz will be responsible for Serco's work with local government clients, European institutions and some private sector clients. These services include Health, Environmental Services, Leisure, support operations for European Agencies and Facilities Management services.
Liz is joining Serco from Computer Science Corp (CSC) where she has spent the last three years as VP and General Manager for their UK business. In this role, Liz has managed a business of over £1bn and 8,000 employees, with over half of its revenues coming from government customers. Over the last few years, Liz has developed a client-centred culture, achieved significant new wins for CSC and increased the profitability of the business. Before joining CSC, Liz worked for Capgemini, Xansa plc, Ford Motor Company and Jaguar Cars.
