In this comprehensive training, learners will gain an understanding of the complex behavioural factors of individuals and crowds to underpin their knowledge.
To achieve the Level 6 Diploma in Risk Management for Crowded Places, there are three-modules to complete, consisting of two classroom-based certified training courses plus an independent research project.
Learning outcomes
Successful completion of this Diploma will demonstrate the individual’s capability to:
- Understand the features and management of a venue and assess the implications for safety and security
- Assess the requirements for crowd safety and management at venues
- Apply the principles and procedures that underpin risk assessment
- Produce an emergency plan for a venue and understand the actions required to ensure safety
- Analyse the ways in which organisations approach and manage risk
- Prepare for a crisis, and test effectiveness of potential approaches
- Evaluate the factors that underpin effective crisis communications
- Produce a crisis communication plan to meet organisational requirements
- Understand the legislation and infrastructure relevant to safety in crowded places
The final project involves:
- Developing a research proposal to analyse an aspect of safety in crowded spaces
- Completing the research using appropriate methods to collect and analyse data
- Presenting research findings and recommendations
This new specialist Level 6 Diploma qualification is accredited by ATHE and regulated by Ofqual.
