The role of a Employer Engagement Coordinator

As part of the Restart Scheme journey participants will use coaching, skill development and specialist support to maximise their chances of securing work and once they are ready to take that step our Employer Engagement Team are available to guide and introduce them to employers and vacancies that meet their needs and aspirations.

We recognise that every Participant’s journey back into work is different so our approach is tailored to meet the needs of each individual, enabling self-starters with a history of work to flourish more quickly, whilst also creating a viable pathway for those with additional support requirements.

What you'll be doing

As an Employer Engagement Coordinator, through networking and business development you will build an understanding of the local labour market to create relationships with key employers and maintain a flow of employment opportunities as well as routeways for participants to build their skills to match with vacancies. Working closely with operational staff to support participant development and preparation in conjunction with employer insight to support the achievement of successful outcomes.

The role:

The Employer Engagement Coordinator will be instrumental in driving the success of the Restart programme by proactively cultivating and maintaining key employer partnerships at national and local levels. You will strategically source and secure high-volume employment opportunities and work placements aligned with individual participant needs and aspirations for sustainable employment opportunities.

A key aspect of the role is to implement activities aimed at enhancing participants' chances of success within the job market, by designing and delivering tailored interventions which focus on boosting confidence and developing essential skills aligned with employer expectations, you will empower participants to effectively navigate the successful achievement of their employment goals.

The skills you'll need:

To be successful in this role you will have an effective track record in commercial recruitment, sales, business development or employer engagement and experience of working in a performance target driven environment. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to connect with a wide variety of audiences and possess strong negotiation and influencing skills. You should be self-motivated and high-energy with a demonstrable passion for engaging with employers to achieve goals as well as the ability to proactively manage your own workload and multiple priorities with proven organisation and time management skills.
