What we're looking for

As a complex and varied organization providing public services across multiple sectors we strive to attract and employ a diverse range of talent. Therefore, we are not targeting specific universities, academic courses or grades achieved and we’re open to the broadest range of talented and enthusiastic people available.

It’s our goal to be the best managed business within public service delivery, and as our one of Graduates you’ll be bringing your curiosity, drive, enthusiasm and ideas to help us achieve that. To be a future leader at Serco you must also have the following qualities:

  • A genuine passion for delivering essential public services

  • Value diversity, understand that everyone is unique and recognise their individual differences.

  • An ability to show resilience and empathy in the face of adversity

  • A customer centric service ethos and a commercial mind-set

  • An entrepreneurial spirit and the will to make a difference

  • The desire to learn and grow, the tenacity to make things happen

Travel & Mobility

Our Operational Programmes are organised in regions while our Functional Programmes are generally tied to one office location. Whatever type of programme you’re on though you can expect to travel – whether that’s to a head office location for meetings or training, a contract site to meet colleagues, or to non-Serco or client sites for events. No one week will be the same as another.

Those on Operational Programmes will be based on the contract sites detailed – and some of our locations can be remote and outside of urban areas. So a driving licence will be useful in most cases, as would the flexibility to move near to your operational sites during the programme.
