What Serco can offer you

Serco is a FTSE 250 company with over 400 sites and 30,000 people in the UK alone. And whilst not everyone has heard of us, the services we provide touch the lives of millions of people every year - from the people who use the train and ferry services we run, to the hospitals we support, the prisons we run, to our network of leisure centre contracts, and the household bins we empty. Our contact centres provide customer service on behalf of many of our central and local government clients.

With a supportive team around you, you will be encouraged to use your initiative, take on important responsibilities and gain practical operational experience working at the frontline on our contracts or within our busy functional teams.

Meaningful and vital work

The services we provide are often of critical importance to the communities and nations that we serve.  The Covid-19 pandemic has shown the vital role our people have not just day to day but in times of crisis. Something that has been recognised by many of our clients. Our graduates have been heavily involved at this critical time.

So not only will you be doing interesting work that matters you’ll also be engaged in the real and pressing challenges of delivering those services. We won’t hold your hand either, you’ll have the autonomy and tools to innovate and make a personal impact on your fast-track to a management or functional career

We’re also big on development. You’ll benefit from a range of training programmes on topics such as Project Management, Process Improvement, Change Management and People Management. We keep our graduate cohort small so that you get the time, attention and development that your skills deserve.

You’ll have early and ongoing exposure to our senior team and to experienced and caring colleagues, giving you the best chance to learn and succeed
